Wallet In Your Pocket

A while ago I had mentioned that I was planning a version of Wallet for the iPhone. Since then, I've mostly been swamped in work with Times. But the requests and questions about Wallet on the iPhone have been overwhelming for the past few months. And as it turns out, I have been working on a little side project…

Today I am announcing that Wallet for iPhone is in fact a reality. Later this summer you'll be able to have access to all your serial numbers, web passwords, credit card numbers, and more, all on your iPhone or iPod touch. This is the mobile solution I've been waiting so long to do - a native, fully capable application, on a platform I really love.

Wallet on the iPhone is completely self contained. It is a fully working version of Wallet, so you can use it on it's own if you wish to. All the core features of the Mac version are available. Create, edit, and remove both groups and entries. Strong encryption. Search. AutoFill. There are even some features in the iPhone version that have yet to be added to the desktop version! And of course, it's also the perfect companion if you use Wallet on the Mac.

Many details are still being worked out, so Wallet won't be available right away at the launch of the App Store. But if you're interested, please sign up to be notified at walletapp.com/iphone/. Release is still aimed for this summer.
Looking real great man! I've been actually going on holiday and was missing something on the iPhone which allowed me to store PINs and stuff for on-the-go. Now I see the solutions coming :-D

I guess it'll not be possible to sync Wallet OSX and Wallet iPhone right? It's probably Apple that wouldn't want people interfering with their syncing system. LOL.
Though what you might wanna do (just as an idea) is allow both apps to send sync mails. The mails are basically empty except for some encrypted code. Only Wallet can encode them with the correct password and add them to the database. Just as a thought ... or the same thing through a music file ... just letting thoughts go wild here. :-D

Good Luck!

Thanks - Wallet for iPhone will of course sync up with the Mac version one way or another. I'm not going to say how this will be done yet, but all possibilities have been/are being explored.
I'm sorry to say that I'm afraid you've contracted the old 'short attention span developer disease' - good ideas never fully materialised due to the fact you spot something else new and shiny and thus never finish any project before moving on to the next. Hope you can get some meds to get rid of it cus this is an awful waste of your talent.
Jay, I'm sorry to say that I'm afraid you've contracted the old 'talking out of your ass disease'. And until you can explain your unfounded statements you'll never be cured.
Wow Dustin, looks great!! I look forward to a release, good luck!!
This is great Dustin! I just finished editing a new article mentioning this exact concept - I will be sure to mention this in the comments!
Waiting patiently, really I am trying ;)
Can't wait to see this manifest into a publicly available app! I love Wallet and I have tried numerous times competing products and get very frustrated. They don't last 30 minutes on my Mac. Wallet is my choice info keeping app and I can't wait to see it on my iPhone.

Gimme, gimme, gimme! ;)

Hey guys, shouldn't be too much longer. We're making some pretty significant changes on the desktop side as well.
