November Life Update

Whoops, it looks like I missed October on the blog. I think it's time for another life update post. Here's what's going on lately in my life:
High School
I'm still required to live through another 1.5 years of it, but high school is going fairly well. While my marks are not as up to par as they were four years ago, I'm certainly enjoying school much more than I did before. The only real annoyance is Chemistry 11, a death trap for those who thought they could get even close to straight-As. It's tough, it's brutal, it's everything you hate about school and more wrapped up into one nice little subject. Great.
Waterfall Software
We just released Typeset 3, a brand new font viewing application previously released by Drew Hamlin. Now, you're thinking, "Hey! Font Book exists now! Who needs a font viewer?" That's where you're wrong. Typeset 3 is aimed at creative professionals who can appreciate Typeset's gracious design and functionality. Using Font Book to "quickly find a font" is counter-intuitive, if not painful. Mike Matas, who now works at Apple, designed parts of the interface, and it's easily the most usable and minimal version of Typeset yet. We're quite proud of it.
Avaeda's End
Some long time friends, including Corey, a friend since grade four, have started up a band. They did this a while ago, but I have become quite involved with the band recently as I designed their website, CD booklet, set up recording sessions, and more. They're really pretty good, although their style changes a lot.
Lords of the North
After the slow but sure death of Diverse Empires, the remains of the DE team have formed Lords of the North, a new MMORPG based on the FSO2 game engine. I've "mapped" all of the world so far, and it's really been a lot of fun. The response has been great, and we're quickly becoming one of the best FSO2 servers around. We're still building the world, but if you'd like to drop by and say hello, just download the FSO2 client and select Lords of the North as the server. Create a new character and you're set to go!
All the latest Apple releases are excellent as usual, and I'll be looking forward to the announcement of iTunes 7 next week. I'll also be turning 17 soon, specifically on November 26th. Well shit.
