Snow Season
With November coming up, snowboarding season has almost arrived. One of the great things about vancouver is that the mountains are only 30 minutes away from downtown.
My favorite mountains are still going to rock this year, but I might go to Whistler this year too - which isn't somewhere I go a lot. Whistler is really really crowded with tourists most of the time and the only two lane road there isn't exactly fast. I'm pretty sure they're fixing that road for 2010, but that isn't happening any time soon.
I noticed last year that easily over 50% of people on the mountains are snowboarding over skiing. I think that eventually skiing will just become a thing of the past. Skiing is NOT as much fun or as popular as snowboarding, and people know it. Just a few years ago lots of mountains banned snowboarding. This will be my 6th year snowboarding.
So, here's a pretty simple question. Ski or snowboard?
