iPod Photo
Apple came out with the iPod Photo today, which is basically the iPod with a colour screen and photo viewing capabilities, 20GB more, a lot bigger, and a lot pricier. Here is why I think the iPod Photo kind of blows...
First off, who is going to go to the trouble of syncing all their photos with the iPod just to view them on a tiny 2" screen? I know I wouldn't. In fact, my photo library is fairly small. If the iPod could sync photos directly to a camera without any accessories, it would be good. If someone developed an attachable camera for the iPod (hello, Griffin?) that would be awesome as well. But right now the iPod Photo is pointless. My cellphone has a camera built in, with photo viewing capabilities and a LOT more (minus the hard drive). I have to admit though, the colour screen on the iPod could lead to a lot of great things.
iTunes Canada in November. Woo-hoo!
