World of Warcraft
Lately I've been looking into screenshots and movies of World of Warcraft. If I predict right, then this will be the best MMORPG of all time. The realism of the world, the details, it's all going to be a great product.
But will Blizzard pull through? Their latest releases, namely WC3 and WC3:TFT have been extreme disappointments. Everything was so slow, which is not acceptable in a strategy game.
Also a big disappointment has been First Star Online 2. I've been beta testing this for about a week, and I must say it did not meet my expectations. It's very slow, just like their previous game - KNO. I was looking forward to the day/night system, but it had no affect on the world whatsoever. The surroundings stayed the exact same, I just see a little icon in the corner of my screen telling me it's night. It's also extremely hard to advance in the game, almost to the point where I want to just throw the game in the trash. In the screenshot here is a live cam of me in-game, which is the only cool thing in the whole app.
My latest project: Diverse Empires, has been consuming most of my time lately. But it will be a great product when it comes out. Even though we're using 2D graphics, the animations and sprites will be excellent. The surroundings will be realistic and beautiful. It's pretty weird how much effort we're putting into this project. It'll be the best of it's kind, in my opinion.
But hopefully Blizzard pulls through with WoW. Don't let me down!
